Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.

Hi there,

I have this book in Italian. Haven't seen the English version yet, but I can say that it is full of great exercises to develop and improve monofin technique. The approach requires patience - you need to walk before you run so to speak. There are lots of exercises for small fins and frontal snorkel which are to be done on the surface of the water. This is to get a better feel for the movements, and one uses the surface as a guide for better positioning of the body in the water.

Our freediving club in Montreal invited Mike to give a three-day workshop on monofin technique, and it was solid. We trained mostly in the pool, but there were also gym and classroom sessions. Everyone who was there improved their technique and cut down on the number of undulations from one side of the pool to the other. We also had a great time. We've invited him to come here again at the end of March.

If anyone wants to get a hold of the monofin book by Mike and his colleagues (Walter Mazzei and Stefano Fighini are co-authors), I could get more precise instructions from him on how to order it.

In the meanwhile, I did find this site selling the book: http://freediveireland.com/shop/books/monofin
