Hi guys/gals!

Im somewhat a newbie on this forum, but have spent some time underwater, quite some time...:)

I was wondering what is your point of view on drilling holes in blades to adjust them on shoes? Is it worth the trouble? I have seen some pretty dammaged blades from the drilling and screwing:naughty

I now own Composite Fiber blades (had platic before):hmm - and effesub shoes, and i just glued them on with loctite. And now i wonder should i or should i not make a hole in them' If so, how? With what tools? Just punch through with a drill? Melt the holes through with heated object or something?

Some expertise oppinion on this would pe really apprettiated:D

I mounted Matrix fiberglass blades in Picasso Black Team foot pockets, and I drilled holes in the blades. I backed them up with a piece of wood. No problems so far after about three years.

If you have properly glued the blades into the pockets with loctite/cyanoacrylate, there no point in drilling holes and using the screw assembly kit. It's like wearing suspenders AND a belt rofl
As a matter of fact, drilling holes into the blades is making them more fragile and especially overtightened scews provide a delicate leverage point for the blades to snap/break.

Cheers, ulysses
