Thanks again for all the good wishes. :)

Now I'm looking for dive buddies there... on [ame="http://forums.deeperblue.net/showthread.php?t=65968"]this[/ame] thread.

Lucia there is stacks of great snorkelling/freediving off Dorset. I popped in last summer near Lulworth and just randomnly picked up a lobster - walking around on the sand in about 5m. luckily for him I was a long way from the beach with no goody bag or barbie on the go so I set him free after showing off to my buddy!

It is GORGEOUS down there, a world away from London and hairy scary pools....

best of luck

Sam

Sounds like a good move Lucia. Hampshire has some beautiful countryside - the air should be better for you (although most of the UK has high tree pollen this week - seems like Spring just suddenly arrived:)). I don't know about fish but I often see deer in the fields there.

Sounds like you'll be fairly close to the coast, with Hampshire, Dorset, W. Sussex & E. Devon all not too far away.

All the best ;)

Good diving and deer in the fields? :p: Must be a wonderful place!
Uh-oh, they better take cover now!rofl (I have seen 2 dead at the side of the road this week - unusual).

I think you should move to Northern British Columbia Lucia. Even the name would make you feel somehat at home! :D the air is clean, there are lots of fish to play with.... mountains...... Did I mention I need a dive buddy? :D

Hi Lucia
just saw this today... what a great move. The best moment of my life was when i left the smog of London to go and live near the sea :D

I actually developed asthma working in London and as soon as I arrived in Spain it went away :) forever!

Take good care of yourself and send lots of countryside pictures :)

I went there again yesterday because there was an open day. There are lots of clear rivers and streams in the area, too shallow for any diving, but maybe good for crayfish.

I will post some pictures when I start the course. :)
