I am moving to Ghedi sometime in July and hope to be able to continue spearfishing. I have been diving and spearfishing for 10 years hear in Florida and look forward to the potential in Italy. Does anyone currently spearfish (gun or Hawaiian sling) around Lake Garda or the other lakes in the North. It seems to be a couple hours to the east coast so that is an option as well. I have a lot of equipment but not sure what is worth bringing other than wet suits, fins, and masks. I appreciate any and all input. Thanks!

Just make sure you can spearfish in lakes in Italy. I know some European countries like France and Switzerland do not allow it.

The good news is you don't need a permit to spearfish in the sea in Italy, you just need to register (free) and make sure you follow the rules.

Good luck!

Thanks GAB! I have found some info, although limited, about lake spearing. I guess it can be done in Lake Garda where I will be, but there seem to be some regs to it. Hoping a local can give me some info or buddy up when I get there.
