An unusually jovial David Mullins entered the water today, with many guessing he was going to just have a swim, but oh no...in front of a small crowd and judges brought in especially for his attempts, David exited the water very very clean at 218m

Video link will be posted when its available

Results for the event todate are at NZ Events

Other results today were
Chris Phelps 128m DNF white card
Mal Bird 135m DNF Red card for SP
Kathryn McPhee 161m DNF Red card for airway dip
Sam Moroney 72m DNF redcard for SP

Congrats big guy from all of us at AIDA NZ

Speechless - that's extraordinary! Well done Dave!

That dangling weight belt end, wetsuit zipper cord, and uncovered mat of hair on your head were holding you back dave! :) I bet those little things were good for a few more meters by themselves... Mr. merman doesn't have to sweat the small stuff!

Slightly more drag, but I don't think they'd make much difference at that speed. Taking care of all that stuff would probably just make me paranoid!
