Can I just get a yay or nay for this, i'm going to be getting a mundial carbon fibre 110cm /w hammerhead and was wondering if 2x 16mm bands for it would be too much? The shaft is the stock 6.5 i believe.

first of all
it is a 115 cm& not 110

the muzzle ( hammerhead ) is great
but there in a need to check out triger mechanism if it can stand
the 2 X 16 rubbers force!!
the barrle can take 2 rubbers

the trigger mech can handle it no problem, the shaft however will probably have a bit too much flex and wont be very accurate.. if you do want to use double 16's, id advise getting a 7mm spear for the gun.

not having a rail may make it shoot a little funny as one of the rubbers will be pulling the spear down.

With a 6.5mm shaft, and with that muzzle, I'd sure try two 9/16" bands first. That setup will provide all the power you could ask for, and should still be very accurate and easy on the trigger.

maybe use a jbl tru glide rail. they are pretty cheap and work like a dream! i have one on my old sporasub samurai gun with 2 bands. just epoxy it on as opposed to using their sticky 2 sided tape that comes with it. rough up the barrel lightly with sandpaper as well.

I installed the JBL rail on my 110cm gun using the supplied tape and followed directions to the letter. It stayed on almost a whole week before it peeled off. I didn't try epoxy, but I went to the hardware store and picked up a roll of 3M double stick tape. It was the most heavy duty they had, and comes with a red backing. I peeled off the old JBL adhesive tape, cleaned the barrel and rail, and applied. It's been on for about 2 years now and has taken a major beating. I even cut out a section of the rail so I could install an Instinct reel. That rail is on there for good. I'd throw the barrel away before I tried to remove the rail.
My only complaint about the JBL rail, (and it's a minor one), is that it's shaped for the JBL 3/8" shaft and is a bit wide for 6-7mm euro shafts. (Works just fine though.) I have an Aimrite rail on another gun that's narrower. I believe the Omer rail is very good as well.
For what it's worth, I did see a noticeable increase in accuracy with the hammerhead muzzle once I installed a rail.

thanks for that insight on the different sizes and sticky tape. that would make install a lot easier. i had no idea omer made a rail :)

Hey wait a minute. Doesn't the Beuchat Mundial Carbon already have an integral rail???
Ron.

for the rail

i used both jbl and omer rails

omer is far superior than jbl

i used them on my t20 mellinium

but can you tell me how is the sensitivity of beuchat trigger with 2*16 ?

I have a Mundial 90 w/ rail and it is dead accurate with 1x16 bands. With 2x16 bands, recoil is very string and the gun becomes inaccurate. You will have to really lock your wrist and elbow to fight the recoil with 2x16; probably worse on a 110cm.
I have another beuchat handle on a wood barrel with 2x20 bands. The trigger mechanism holds it without any problem, this is probably the best euro trigger mechanism/handle out there. There is much less recoil with the wood barrel due to its weight and as a result it is easier to control, is more accurate and has more range. The shaft flies off the rail really fast, straight to the end of the line with a double-wrap.
