My DIY spear float

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.

This is the basis of my float. On it I have now attached various bits, but as for the float, this is it. (Awaiting flags to be sewn up by my mum, I am SO cool!)
The woven top is to quickly slide things under to hold them down.

Looks like it should do the job well! :) i like the flags - cant have too many flags eh.
was the cost very different from if you used an old 2h body board?
 
I found the board for $10 so I lucked out. Living on the coast gives a lot of choice for boards.
