little bit of corrosion

Tomba kit for my Mares 133 bluewater. I also have a full rebuild kit including the seals, piston, stopper(i might be calling it wrong, i forgot the name) and adding new oil. Im sure im missing out a few things but this is my life haha...LOADS of fun...

in case you were wondering, the dollar bills were there in case any strippers came by...

The line was a little longer then needed but it works well

Modified constrictor knot...

Spent the past few days pumping this thing up. And hopefully will get to use it outside of testing in the canal soon.

HUGE HUGE thank you to marko for helping me with this. I have to say, to anyone that thinks pneumatics are too complicated and hard to work on you couldn't be further from the truth. They require basic skills and a little reading online. Get one, in fact get three. you will be glad you did.

Nice post mate.. Lets us know how the gun shapes up in action!

Ive done some basic test firing in the canal, i have to do a few more, and finish a few things up with the rigging. I have it set up to add and remove the reel and convert to a float line quickly. I made a mount for my reel and spent hours already. Funny how you forget about the time when working on things like this. I worked till 430 one morning. I also want to paint it as well its a black ruberized truck liner coating right now. I will do two more coats of that for texture and toughness, and then add a few layers of paint to make look nice... I swear i will build a pump from an old refrigerator before i pump that damn thing up again. Ha

This is how it looked before with its old mount. I was able to cut the profile of it down about an inch or so with the mount i made. Its made of poly-morph and so far withstood about 100 lbs of weight i put on it. Ill take another photo when i get home.

This mount actually fits under the shaft in the orrigional position that came from the factory. It has a metal hose clamp embedded in the molded plastic. Its drying from the three coats of truck bed liner i put on it. Along with the gun it needs 72 hours of dry time before i can do anything with it. So...it waits....till then i took apart my 90 cm and used the left over parts from the mares and the rebuild o ring kit to replace all the ones i needed. Truth be told i could easly just go to the hardware store and have all the rings but it is very nice to have them right in front of me already. That way i dont have to take a pile of rings to the store and hope for the best.

The piston from the mares was in good shape and i replaced the o ring that was on it as well. It works in the barrel and will be used in it. There was one o ring that i have to go to the store and get that seals the barrel to the handle.

Have you used these guns yet? What's your conclusion about the outer coating and durability? I'm considering doing this to a mares cyrano 850.

The truck bed liner didn't affect buoyancy at all, and it hasn't had any issues either. I painted over the bed liner and did a slick blue camo and cleared it over with 4-5 coats. Not a scratch on it.
