I've been lurking around the forums for about a month now reading just about everything I could about freediving. Me and my buddy have been going out and practicing just about every day since we started and I had been having problems equalizing to 10m. I practice every day with the frenzle technique out of the water and today it finally just clicked I guess. I did my first successful 10m dive with absoutley no problems at all.

When I touched the bottom I didn't stay down there too long. I looked at my dive computer, saw 10m and was just overwhelmed with excitment. I shot back up, gave a thumbs up to my buddy, took a few deep breaths and just laid back into the waves.

I'm planning on scheduling some lessons with a freediver here on Okinawa pretty soon. Love this community and all the information available, hope it never goes away. :)

Welcome to DB then and congrats on your accomplishment, your off to a good start.
A freediving coarse is allways a good idea and you will be amazed at what you can really do afterward.
Good luck and we hope to hear more positive feedback from you soon.
Safe Diving :)

congrats....
it seems that the water is with u:):):)
be carrefoul with those signs:
a thumb's up means "ascending"....not that you are ok
for the "ok" there is another sign:)
