I just bought a new gun and I'm relatively new to to spearfishing. I have gone out multiple times with a 3 prong and just decided to buy a gun. I bought a Cressi Comanche 90cm. Its a beautiful gun but there is one problem.

I'm a bit confused or to weak to pull back the bands :head. Are there any ways that could help me out? I have tried both hip and chest loading.

Bent rows with weights?

Chest loading would be my first suggestion, but you say you've tried it.

Are you physically unable to pull the bands with the butt on your chest, or does it just hurt your chest too much? If its the latter, you need a loading pad.

Keep in mind that loading a gun in the water is WAY easier. Also from what I have heard about the Cressi Comanches is that they are WAY overpowered and therefor inaccurate. You might try sizing down on the bands a little.

If your body is an average human body (I mean not exceptionally tall or not short below average et cetera) take note that abdominal loading is more ergonomic than chestloading with a 90cm eurogun.

Place the butt of the gun on your abdominals (one inch above the belt), grab the bands very firmly and pull, pull without hesitation and without fear until you cock it on the first notch of the shaft.
When done, if you want to load second notch for a bit more power, then you can place the butt on your chest, and chestload to the second notch of the shaft. This is the way I do it.
Very important: You must pull without hesitation and believe that you will make it. Trust yourself makes the difference and I mean it seriously.

Just two words of caution
1)NEVER load a gun out of the water
2) use GLOVES (if you loose grip of the the metal wishbones while loading, they will shave your fingers bloody).

As for accuracy, I don't know if in the USA the Comanche is sold with a different, overpowered set up than in Europe. Could be, I don't know.
But the standard set up that comes stock from Cressi factory in Genoa (6mm shaft and 16mm bands) gives good accuracy and very fast shots in the first two meters. I've hit many breams between the eyes with a standard Comanche.
Trust your gun and it will pay back.
