Aquired a few items from work, and this is what i came up with.

Ive put the threaded rod trough a hole at the back of the gun, which most spearguns have, so this mount is pretty universal. Pretty good for free :)

Looks good Jaymz.

those sticky pads dont last long in the water or at least thats what I found. I ended up screwing it to the gun mount as it never came off the gun. If I wanted to use the camera I just loosened the bolt below the housing and left the rest on the gun.

I also found the mount would move with the recoil of the gun and force against water. I solved this by fixing the mount to 2 places to the gun.

Heres a video I made a few years ago with my old gopro which shows the camera moving from the recoil.

i do plan on getting a tripod mount attatchment and fixing it to the plate. And with a bit of luck my misses gets the hint that i want the hd hero 2 and the dive housing for xmas so ill be able to have 2 on the go. I have a hd hero 960 now.

got some more materials from work today im gonna have a go at a few more methods. How did you mount it to your head? The gopro headstrap?

just screwed the clip mount to the top. I did have an arm extending the camera away from the mask but it kept pulling the mask down

Nice idea mate, ill give that a whirl too. What size bolt u got on there?

Cheers

cheers for that mako. I have just the thing for that to work. So an L bracket with a zip-tie strapped round it should work nicely then?
