Where I live, in North central Washington (U.S.), we do have a "local dive shop", but the nearest salt water's over 120 miles away, so the place is devoted to diving in the local-and exceptionally boring-lakes with scuba gear. They don't carry anything related to freediving or spearfishing, since that's not legal for freshwater fish here. So, there's no place for us to "hang out" and inhale the scent of neoprene; no place to swap lies about the one we missed, and nothing we could even purchase. In the land of 7 millimeter suits, shops that cater to freedivers and spearos are few and far between! However, I'll sing the praises of Blue Tuna Spearfishing, in Ventura, CA! That's my "LDS" and Matt and Lizzy are great people, with great equipment. Too bad they're over a thousand miles away!!
