I bought these brand new in November of 2021 and have probably used them ~30 times since then. I make sure they are never stressed in storage, folded, etc, etc. Then on Saturday this happened. Same day on both which is definitely odd. That would indicate some kind of user error to me  however being 110% honest, I can't imagine what I could have possibly done to them that day. Because of that I am more inclined to say that they were just a defective product. Bummed because I likely have no recourse at this point.

Has anyone seen this before with this fin?

Those are tears which indicates mechanical force has been applied, rubber and thermoplastics don't crack up like that.

Any theories on what I did exactly? Again I'm very careful to not bend my fins in any manner. Just want to avoid doing this again...

Possibly it was done by someone else who borrowed them without your knowledge and they were too small, then quietly put them back.

Tongue in cheek or not, that might be true. Except that I was the one for which they were too small. I come from the performance ski boot world and like all my footwear extremely tight. I just ordered a size up...
