Well I never did get the Mares Cyrano...New or used. Instead I ordered the PROPER bands for my JBL 38 Special NW and will "tough it out" with that 'til September when my TWO...Yes TWO! Rob Allen CARBON railguns arrive Via Passenger jet from South Africa in my inlaw's luggage! :inlove

I'm getting a 70 cm carbon Sparid railgun (not available in the U.S.) with a 6.6 spear and a single 16mm band - and a Caranx carbon railgun of 80cm with a single 20 mm band and 7mm spear! Along with an extra spear for each and a few extra bands! All for not much more than the cost of ONE if I bought it in the U.S. or had one shipped! Especially with the exchange rate...Even though our dollar is considered weak right now it's still a MAJOR bargain! I just have to WAIT 'til September!!!!!!!! :vangry

But I'm sure the wait will be worth it! I hope the "inlaws" understand when I disapear to go speargunnin' once in awhile when they're here! :t

My rob allen continues its stellar performance. Although recently fargus64 placed a deadeye shot on a rather large rock, stoning the spear almost immediately... roflI got full penetration through both gill plates on that big carp I shot, and it was not a close shot. (Ballpark almost 10 feet probably, because he was behind me, and I turned around not knowing he was there and he took off) Your inlaws live in South Africa? Is there an interesting story behind that?

I met and married an Au Pair while she was here from South Africa! Her accent, Durban tan, and super-model looks pulled me right in! :t I could not let her leave! Eight years and three kids later - The flame still burns! :chatup

I won't see my R.A.'s 'til September....but I can wait! :)

I can't even wait until my microwave popcorn is ready.

If I were to own one eurogun, it would be a RA 70cm. That is, if I didn't prefer spending 3X more on custom made teak guns.

Sounds like a nice set of guns. I take it from the sizes that visibility is not great in Wisconsin. They'd be good sizes for the UK too.

2 RA railguns, an SA au pair with super model looks and you live in Wisconsin, USA -- life is good;)
