Here is the program of the next session I shall be doing on next Wednesday in my new freediving section...
Any comment on it more than welcome !...
. I 'll be training a group of 6 people made of :
. 1 66 year old MF1 (experienced scuba diving instructor)
. 2 underwater hockey players (their hockey training takes place just after my apnea session)
. 1 scuba diver N3 candidate for scuba diving "initiateur"
. 1 young female scuba diver N4
. 1 elderly lady scuba diver + her daughter also scuba diver...
The challenge for me is to organize a session which may satisfy everybody from this not so homogeneous group...
We dispose of 1 H 30 available time...
Since we dispose of a nice little pool with warmer water, I will begin with a static training session :
1. Warm-up :
30 s R = 30 s
40 s R = 40 s
50 s R = 50 s
60 s R = 2'
2. Static apnea series
1'10" R = 1'30"
1'20" R = 1'30"
1'30" R = 1'45"
1'40" R = 1'45"
1'50" R = 2'00"
2'00" R = 2'15"
2'10" R = 3'30"
Max for everybody...
Then I'll propose them a DNF session...
Since it is new for them, I will focus on technique, weighting, safety procedures...
I 'll begin with a demonstartion of a 25 m DNF equipped with my 3 kg neckweight ; I'll make them count the number of strokes : no more than 5 !
Then I will make them do a 2 X 25 m DNF with 40 seconds recuperation, insisting on technique and recuperation procedures...
I will make the hockey players make 4 X 25 m with 20 s recuperation....
What do you think of it ???
