my son's first monofin

i'm so happy... my boy's first mono!!.. he totally swims laps with me and he took to the mono naturally.. he wants the "finding nemo" mono that waterways sells but i found a finis "wave" (i have a finis for now and i'm not too stoked with it).. i really want a leader fins fin.. but its a great beginner mono to get your feet wet to swimming with a mono.

i can't wait until it arrives.. when i went to a public pool to do 50m laps (they didnt allow 50m laps because of slower swimmers) and they didnt want us to use the mono as usual. then they didnt want him swimming laps.. we have a big rectangular pool ourselves that we swim in for about 4 or 5 hours a day. ( i have to drag him out of the pool.) i was like i BET you a dollar he can beat the freestylers with my mono on. my boy can swim laps, he does it with me everday. the pool coordinator was like.. ok.. put it on him and i'll see.. if he can swim a lap i'll leave him alone.

he beat the freestylers of course.. and she let him swim laps with me (i wont go there again, we can do longer laps in our pool)

i have a future finswimmer on my hands and he is only 4.

we're BOTH so excited for it to arrive..

wow! Mine's still in old bi-fins but I can see her wanting her own mono someday too.. aren't those finding nemo monos cute?! (right now i have her in synchro lessons)

lol nothing is cuter than that nemo mono!! he has had his eye on that for the last several months.

i took him to the beach the other day and he was just having a blast, but i got us out of the water, the current was WAY too strong for my liking and he's used to pool swimming. he had more courage in the water than i did.

goodness i hope all this pool swimming isn't spoiling me :waterwork
