I just want to recommend some great articles about the problem of overfishing. It's in April issue of National Geographic, special report "Saving the Sea's Bounty".
The first article "Still waters, the global fish crisis" made me sad, it's very depressing but real - 100 million tons! per year, 40 million sharks killed for their fins!

After that, there is article with hope that will cheer You up, New Zealand's ways to protect marine life including mammals. Then back to overfishing. All of us who love underwater world should be familiar with this tragic situation. As usually, the pictures are outstanding and at the end You will find the story about mother leopard giving her cub a lesson in the art of the kill. Great read, get it
 
This article is just so sadly true. I vowed never to eat sushi with bluefin tuna in it. If i want tuna ill catch it myself. The whole thing about trapping these animals while there spawning is afwul. They mentioned the cloudy water makes it easier for spotters.
