I'm contemplating a made to measure Elios suit. I have read other posts speaking of problems with tight necks. Should I add a little to my neck measurement to compensate for this?

mine are on the tight side too. they're ok in the water but with the hood down on land it can be quite uncomfortable. so i would be tempted to add 1cm to my neck measurement next time.

Mine was ok and still is.
When I worked in a dive shop, we would pull the necks of neosuits onto a scuba bottle and let it sit for a night to make it bigger.
Peace,
Erik Y.

Mine was uncomfortably tight (my this I mean I felt pressure on the carotid sinuses) - I realized I'd sent the measurements without including my hair - which is longish. I inserted a small bucket into the neck for a few weeks and now it's perfect. Elios was spot on though - just need to add 5mm or so to the neck - which was my fault.

I got a made to measure suit & it seems perfect. I did made all measurements 3x over several days at different temperatures (to reduce errors -- eliminating bad ones & averaging close ones). I was particularly careful with the neck measurement for several reasons:
1. A diving instructor pal warned me that a tight neck can trigger some kind of undesirable body response (drowning/choking?).
2. My neck is quite large & I have noticed the size varies from hot to cold days.
3. I have quite a lot of muscle at the base of my neck but opted to measure at the peak of the Adam's apple & rounded up the average measurements (might have added 1cm? -- I don't think so).

Be careful measuring across the shoulders -- use the on-line video not the chart (for me there was a 5-7cm difference with the 2 methods!).

They are great suits. Let us know how you get on.

Not really: unfortunately with harder rubber it's not going to happen and you'll have to let your feet adapt. Short of melting the pockets with a torch that is :hmm
Peace,
