Can I get some info on building a neck weight and where I can get small weights to use for it?

JPPLAY,

You can use the 'tube' of a bicycle tire and fill it up with lead beads. You can buy the lead beads at most diving stores. They come in these little bags of 1, 2, 4 lbs, etc. Pass the strap through the rubber tube, tie it at one end, fill it up with the correct amount of lead weight for you, tie the other end. You can get plastic buckles and straps (1/4inch) at this website below.

straps:

Here is what the lead bags look like:

Hey Merl.

Quite the McGuyver, aren't we now? ha ha ha....Awesome post just then. I tried to give you some rep, but the rep counter says that you're too good for my filthy reputation and I go somewhere else before somebody sees me loitering around in here.

Seriously good post, even more kudos for the hardware links. I eat that stuff up. I come from a long line of home riggers. You've got a rep coming.
