Hi

I.m trying to make a 100cm wooden, double band 2x16mm with back mechanism, rear wooden custom handle speargun, open track, with salvimar sandvik 130, 6,5d shaft.
It is very hard to find teak in Serbia, and when i did i had to pay 50eur for three 45x7x1200mm Burmese teak peaces. The plan was to combine with four peaces same dimensions of Brazilian massaranduba. The handle suppose to be made of massaranduba aswell. It is very nice red color wood (not that i care) but very dens and heavy (1060kg/m3). My main concern is buoyancy of a gun. Gun suppose to be oval shape 4,7cm x 4cm at widest part in front of the handle and narrowing to a possible minimum on the tip.
So, any suggestions . Can i just tie everything together before laminating and test in the bath( i'm 600km in land)....... Anyone ....Thanks
One more question.. this is epoxy that i have(link below). The seller told me that is absolutely suitable for water...bla bla.. but i'm not sure. Epoxy Resin L + Hardener EPH 161 (set of two components) | R & G Faserverbundwerkstoffe GmbH

kombinuj tik i mahagoni a izmedju laminata postavi kevlar sa eposidnim lepilom dobijas izuzetnu cvrstocu jer ovi prave svi laminat bez armature od kevlara

Yes you can try out the components in the bath for a rough guide, just tape everything together with eclectic insulation tape.
