hi.
recently went and got a Cressi-sub Comanche 110 and a Picasso Century Wood 110 . both with reel and the cressi with 18m of spectra and the picasso with 30m of spectra..

i would like to thank Nesim, Island Sands, and Nadeem (Nesim's bro) for all the advice they gave me. yalla lets go diving soon and shoot some fish :ko

hey mishu,
congrats on your new gear, just a quick question, why buy 2 guns of equal length?

Congratulations, but why two 110 at one time? Do you plan to use them for different purposes?

Hiya

Maybe he couldn't decide which one he liked best, so he bought both guns!!!

I generally also have at least two guns of the same length. My primary gun is a 115cm Rabitech Apex with Omer reel. My back-up gun is a 115cm Rabitech Stealth with Rabitech reel. Should you perhaps lose your gun, or get your spear bent or damage your gun, you can still carry on diving with your back-up gun.

regards
miles

I have a rabitech apex carbon 120 , its a bit of an overkill for most of my spearfishing, but its a very cool gun, just noticed little spots of rust on the trigger:vangry but its a cool gun and louis hattingh was very helful

I think Miles put it right. Anything i could object to act as "Doctor Subtle" (is it understandable phrase in english?), is that if you double the guns for the same purpose, they should better have the same handle, weight and ballistics, so that your hand keeps feeling like home after the change...But i just hope that mishu will enjoy his guns (and comanche handle is of great comfort...)

well its very simple marwan. i had my eye on this Cressi-sub comanche carbon with integrated rail, but my dad wouldnt let me go back to kuwait just to buy a speargun, and i did consider sneaking a trip, but he would get pist. so, given the fact that i live off my parents and they gave me the money to buy the gear, i went ahead and just bought a regular comanche. i was looking for a 100, but the store only had a 90 and a 110. so i chose the 110.
further cruising and window shopping revealed to me a Picasso Century 110 woody. and it just looked beautiful. so i bought it and got a reel to go along with it, and got 16mm bands instead of the 20mm it came with and 30 meters of spectra. so by default, given that the picasso will inately have greater accuracy, the cressi will be the backup.
going out with the babies this weekend so will let you guys know.

hey! photo photo photo... did you go to Al Sammak? (dont ask them for a diving trip :duh)

Hi Sarah!
yeah i went there, i got the Picasso from there. i was going to ask them for a freediving trip, but i refrained from that when i heard that Roy spears on scuba. but i will be going out this weekend with Nesim's bro, which i hear is very very good. and photos i will have for you today as soon as i get out of this class...

yep! see my trip report on UAE...
http://forums.deeperblue.net/forum16/thread60455.html

it was pretty much, you stay on the inside of the wreck because we are spearing on the outside... 20mins on scuba and they were up with 40bar rofl
needless to say it was unsafe :rcard and unethical :rcard

yeah... i cant blame you for not liking their "tours"
but, in all fairness, thye have amazing prices in their gear. i was expecting soemthing much more for wat i paid.
all in all im happy. i tend to not use dive guides and the sort, because i get a more enjoyable feeling exploring and getting to know the waters on my own.

Hey Mishu,
Congrats on the purchase
I'm looking forward for some input about the Picasso Carbon wood. Looks like a nice piece of kit...

Hey Mishu:
now you can shoot with the two hands holding each speargun! The ''twin'' effect but with 2 guns

I agree with Miles and Spagethi, it's good to have 2 spearguns with the same characteristics, mostly the handles. That way if something happens if you have to change you just do it and you are ready to go again.

And now Mishu, I will be waiting for your fishing pics.

Cheers,

Roberto
