I'm starting another freediving group in central Florida. It will be based out of Blue Springs Orange City but travel across Florida to dive and film. We don't care if you are experienced, a beginner or just interested in getting started. This is not for the macho type. Safety is first. There will be divers to spot for you and you will be expected to spot for others. We will show you how. Everyone dives with a buddy. We will go over safety procedures and gear selection. There will also be gear for you to try before you buy your own if you don't already have it or looking to upgrade. There will also be training and exercise sessions to improve your dive time and depth if you would like to participate.

Message me here if you would like to meet up. Currently we will be meeting at Blue Springs on the weekends. Both morning and afternoon sessions will be available.

The Blue Springs group is doing Safety Training Days for anyone interested.

At Blue Spring State Park, 2100 W French Ave Orange City, FL 32713, we will be at the picnic tables near the first water entrance.

Date / Times:
Saturday, September 14th @ 9:00 am will be a pre-meet. Feel free to stop by if you can't make it on Sunday.
Sunday, September 15th @ 9:00 am will be the full safety meeting.

Hope to see you there!

Still doing this?

We should do another safety and depth training day before Blue Springs closes for the winter. Is anyone up for the 26th or 27th? We could possibly do the 2nd or 3rd as long as they are still open for swimming.

Any one diving this Sunday? I'd like to join in and meet some new divers.

Adam

I won't be diving this weekend, but I'll be back in the water next weekend. If you have facebook, you can search for "Blue Springs Freedivers" to find the dive group and see who is diving on Sunday.

Will do, thanks

There will be a group of freedivers at Orange City, Blue Springs On Sunday. We are trying to get a few more dives in before they close swimming for the winter.

I guess I joined a little too late. I learned to freedive at blue springs. A really cool place. Maybe I'll see y'all there when it opens up in the Spring

We will still be diving in other locations. A few of us will be at Ginnie Springs next weekend.

Lol, if I dive over the winter I turn purple! I'll try to meet up with y'all once the warmer weather comes around.

Yes. I dive it anytime I go up to Ginnie Springs. We don't have a trip planned, but I would like to go again soon.

I'm currently diving a 5mm freedive suit, but you would be good with a good 3mm. I don't know anyplace around Troy that rents them. There is a dive shop in High Springs and at Ginnie Springs that rents suits though. I also have a 3mm and 5/7 mm loaner suit.
