NEW CRESSI FINS (Gara Professional)

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
oops posted the link in italian, didn't I? English version available from the home page.
Major improvments both on blade and footpockets...
These new footpockets apply the same concept of the Pro Star and Reaction Pro snorkeling fins: the foot is not at the end of the blade, but "under" the blade.

Hmm, looks interesting, though I wonder how much one can trust the superlatives loaded product description page. They claim the material used in the blades is superior to carbon in terms of reactivity as well as resistance and durability. I am curious to see some independent review. I also wonder about the price - did not manage to find any store on the web offering them yet .

I wonder if the have a more rigid foot pocket ?

Spaghetti

what fins are you currently using ?

Trux: yes you're right, but Cressi fins have always been very good since back in the 40's so we can trust them this time too. I remember when Omer issued the Ice claiming that their performance was comparable to carbon, and many people were skeptical about this. Now we know that the Ice are not like carbon in terms of performance, but after all everyone agrees they're very good (except for the breaking issue...)
The Killer's Me: no idea. It's a new product not yet in stores.
Strangelove. I'm still using the Omer Millennium Winter (it's winter out there, isn't it?). I was about to get the new C4 Wahoo soft, but it seems there's a big problem of availability with them. I found only the medium stiffness Wahoos at a kick off price (136 euro all included), but not the soft ones. I'm considering the C4 Falcon 25...

i think the regular garas available today are already good blades, its the footpockets that need a lot of work in my opinion (especially for guys who dont have narrow feet)...as for now, i have 2 choices:
1 - Plastic fins____________Omer ice
2 - CArbon (but i am mainly spearfishing)_____________specialfins hybrid medium stiffness
i have also a pair of rekord 3 carbons on the way (I couldnt resist too stranglove ) will let you know in about a week how they feel

Marwan, I know how this story will end some day: you will open a retail store just like JimDoe2you (and possibly WITH Jimdoe2you: M&M International Ltd! rofl)
I've had a pair of Rekord 3 for just 2 months (then you know the story: stolen form my bag I had left on the beach) and they're the best I've ever had along with Falcon 30 (Lost them: I rented a scooter on Lampedusa island and somehow packed the gear behind my back: when I got to the beach I had lost fins and snorkel). I'm not lucky with carbon fins...
By the way about Jim: I'm also investigating about Imersion carbon fins...but as said Im not lucky with carbons and so these new Cressi's are in the list of the many ones I'm considering....
PS: for all the friends who asked me about the guy in my avatar: he's Joe Dallesandro, a famous italo-american bisexual pornstar of the 70's

Spaghetti - thank you for your ever informationial Italian product updates. I know we have not spoken since I disagreed with you about Italians being the inventors of the Penis but the fossil evidence simply does not support it.
Your avatar indicates a level of sophistication which hurts my mind!

Some could think that the Penis was invented by the ancient Romans (who were basically italians) by the evidence that "Penis" is a latin word.
BUT:
if we consider that the ancient Romans also had to invent "Cunnilingus", we must conclude that the Penis was not yet available in ancient Rome. Sounds right?

I've sent you a PM, but I am currius since you had both C4/30 and Rekord III, which one you think is better.

Marwan, please let me know how the Rekord III stack against the Hybrid, I currently have a hybrid Medium and hybrid hard, I use the hard for places that I don't need any surface swimming and the Medium where I need to swim on the surface.
I was considering a pair of Rekord III or C4/30, will depend on you Marwan ! I've also agree with your comment about the cressi foot pocket, but this new one may be promessing it is a good idea to extend the blade under the foot.

I confess my confusion.

Ah! I'd thought they were merely cunning linguists. In any case I'd imagine with all those pillars around they at least had the idea..
The Garas are certainly my fav budget fin, I'd like to see these new ones. Though it seems the path I am on is primarily with a monofin, or none at all..

The pillars were the Greek architectural signature. Romans on the other hand were known for their use of arches. However, I think both cultures used penises

roflrofl that is funny spago...thats what my wife always says...

i thought all the 70's pornstars had a wicked moustache..

Nice! Says it has the largest field of view of all Cressi masks - guess they're including the Big Eyes? That would be a thing to try. Wonder how it compares to the Omer's masks in comfort and field of view?

:inlove Love the fins, too.

I know the matrix beats the alien for FOV. Its also very comfortable thought the seal is not as robust. This mask looks like it would compete with my current fav, the technisub micro/marina - which also brings the lenses very close and with a downward angle (so close that if I have the mask on a little off center my eyelash will brush the lens)
