This message is for divers, new and old, who are fans of Star Trek. Most may not know this, but ST creator Gene Roddenberry's son Eugene is a SCUBA fanatic. He recently bought some gear at the shop Diver's Direct (where I work). We got to talking and he wants to start a world-wide club for diving-fans of the show and movies. I've volunteered to help him start it up and run it. We're looking for divers who might be interested in joining up and 2 0r 3 others interested in helping run it. As with any new club, it's gonna take some time to get it up and running. But, once we're there it's gonna be great. He already passed out some great promo stickers at my work, and after about a year once we get going (crossing fingers) we're really gonna kick off. Some ideas so far are hats, pins, patches, stickers, trips, newsletters, and he's even going to look into custom desinged Starfleet style wetsuits. I even threw out the idea of maybe doing some trips involving cast members, but lets not too ahead of ourselves hahaha, although we know Shatner is diver. Well that's about it for now.
