Finally received my new Elios 5mm smoothskin/metalite wetsuit and what a fantastic product. Only one small complaint. I ordered knee pads which I later found out cannot be attached to smooth skin cell. Not a major issue really but when you get charged for them and don't receive them I think its a bit off. You shouldn't be able to tick the knee pad option if the smooth skin outer is selected. :naughty. Hope this is addressed soon to avoid similar problems for future customers.

If you still want kneepads, why not send them an email and ask them to send you some nylon outside lined 3 mm neoprene to glue on?
If you paid to much you should get it for free..
They make them ready shaped for use as kneepads, no problem to glue on and works nicely. I have them on my meshskin suit and am very happy with them..

Thanks for the advice. The suit wasnt ordered direct from Italy. It came through one of their agents so I will take this up with him. Now I have dived with the suit I dont think I really need the knee pads. I just wanted to highlight the website fault. I wont name the agent in question but my advice would be deal with Elios direct which I intend to do next time. Their knowledge of material combinations and design is obviously far superior. I Believe that if you are going to sell a product then you must have a full knowledge of the subject matter in order to advise your customers correctly. Anyway I will get off my soap box now.

Couldn't agree more. I bought my suit from a retailer too, it was much more expensive (I discovered later) and their product knowledge far inferior to Elios. Only when I emailed Elios directly did I get what I wanted (the glue on kneepads I mentioned), and will buy directly from them the next time I get a new suit.
