I think I've found the fins I've been looking for...:)
whaooridottatj9.jpg

C4 Wahoo soft, amber colour, transparent, mustang footpocket (left and right), blade made of polyammidic resin reinforced with glass fiber, 170 euro. Also available a black stiffer type
I read a review on Bluworld (italian e-zine) and they say the amber soft type is "superb" for long distance fin swimming and shallow-intermediate depth.
Any thoughts? Any first hand feedback?

They say the amber blades have a transparent effect under water such as looking through a glass of tea, or a bottle of whisky (single malt)....the say they feel waaayyy very soft, but underwater they give a serious punch with no effort. They say they feel like having no fins for how they're soft and light....(still single malt) :)

wow, this could be the fin I've been looking for. I searched the C4 homepage, but could not find any information about the fins!?
Where did you find them and where can we buy them?
regards
Joerg

In facts the c4 website hasn't been updated yet! By now they must be ordered directly from C4.

Has anyone tried the foot pockets? I've heard mixed reviews about them but those blades look like the new big thing to me

I've read in another thread that C4 will change the Mustang foot pocket for 2008 and that they will be more comfortable than. Any informations about that, or is it only a rumor?

Fins made of C4 Plastic:confused: Does not sound safe, do they come with det cord :)

(It's a joke refering to the plastic explosive C4)

The blades are way cool, I'd like to see how they look underwater (if anyone can provide a pic, please do so :)).
I'm not too wild about the mustang footpockets though, I hope they make a pair with the regular ones also.

I would imagine they would look very much like kelp. I've been hankering after a pair of Ice blades for a couple of years now but I could well pass on them if these prove popular

Today I received my Wahoo soft (amber), yipppeeee rofl. So far they look much cooler than on the picture at the beginning of the thread (I try to make some better pics this weekend). They are very flexible and the mustang foot pocket seems to fit perfect. Unfortunately I am not sure if I will be able to test them before christmas (our Pool will be closed soon) and I have no time as I will be "Santa Claus" for the children in our neighborhood.
regards from germany

Yes as much information as possible please. Where did you buy them from?

Congrats Joerg, let us know how they roll!
By the way, an established divegear dealer in Lerici (the town where poet Percy Bysshe Shelley drowned) is opening a new showroom and makes a special offer on many top products, included the C4 Wahoos: 136 euro+shipping.
Nuova pagina 1 (no english version though)

Hello,
I bought them here in germany via Inernet => C4 Wahoo, Carbone, Apnoeflossen
but it's although possible to order the fins direct from C4. They look much more transparent than on the first picture. I will do my best and take the pictures as soon as possible.
best regards
Joerg

Oh no! More gear wanted! Looking forward to some pics Joerg :D

Hi,
I am lucky enough to live close to Lerici and I have been in the shop in October to buy a pair of millenium winter.
The shop was having the c4 wahoo for test and they look quite nice (I did't test them I am a newbie).
Will go there next week for an apertitivo and at new year to see the new shop.
By the way the shop owner does it for passion and not for money at least this is the idea he gave me.

Spaghetti if you will be around you are invited for the drink (nice bar in front of the shop)
Regards

Spaghetti, did you buy a pair of these yet? When the magazine reveiwers said "shallow to intermediate depths" how deep do you think they meant?
I dive 30 to 50 feet most of the time, but occasionally go deeper. Never over 60 feet but I'd want no doubts about their ability to lift me.
I have Gara 2000HF fins and also Beauchat Elite hard fins. Of these I prefer the Beauchats as they seem less "dead" than the Cressis. Also the Cressi footpocket feels low in the heel to me so I always wear fin keepers with them. Elites are no longer sold but I wonder how they were rated. Would they be "shallow to intermediate". What do you think?

Spaghetti did you read this post?
http://pescasubapnea.forumfree.net/?t=22550053
at first I thought it was about some obsolete fins, but it actually is the black wahoo
what do you think?
Sorry guys the links is in Italian, but there was a problem with a fin that broke.... if you want more details I will try to give them to you
