Hi!
I'm Josh, a 17 year old (18 in November) from New Jersey. I'm a certified Master and Rescue scuba diver and I'd like to branch out into freediving. I'd really like to join a group of freedivers for a training session somewhere in the area. I've done a little bit of breath-hold diving in the Caribbean over the past month but nothing too crazy. If you're in the area, lemme know. I'd probably prosper from having someone in the area to talk to or maybe even dive with. Maybe at Dutch Springs or at some pool somewhere i don't know what you guys do.

I digress; long story short: I'm a young, new (but not to diving) freediver and I could use a buddy or buddies.
Thanks,
Josh

Welcome to DB @freescubadiver - you've come to the right place!

Firstly i'd suggest getting on a course - you'll learn loads especially around safety and find some buddies. You can check out instructors near you at www.freedivingcourses.com

Secondly i'd suggest you join a club - head over to the USA sub-forum to find like minded divers and clubs - https://forums.deeperblue.com/forums/usa-canada.91/ - don't forget to search as well as post.

Finally - take a look at our Beginners Guide to Freediving - https://www.deeperblue.com/beginners-guide-freediving/
