Hi there!

I've had a interest in diving for a long time. A few months ago, I booked a FII certification class and decided to get on with it. I'm loving it so far and can't wait to get out in the ocean! For now, practicing in the pools and local quarries will have to do :)

Looking forward to learning a lot from everyone here!

Have you completed the class yet? If so, what were your impressions?

I have my open water on Saturday. I'll get back to you after the weekend.

I loved the start to the class. I thought it was very informative. I've done some dives out on the ocean before with experience freedivers, but the class helped me gain knowledge I wasn't able to get from them. It was really helpful in helping me piece things together and understand safety protocol.

I thought it went great. I loved the FII class and I thought Bo Ong was a great instructor. I really valued how informative the class was, and I like that it is very safety focused. I felt pretty confident diving with the knowledge I was given and can't wait to get back out there. I'll definitely take my level 2 class next summer.

What kind of improvements did you notice? Did you have a baseline beforehand for comparison?

I had only dove to 15/20 feet prior to this. My static apnea also improve almost double, so that was great. The only issue I"m facing now is that I must have missed an equalization and I'm dealing with some mild barotrauma. I've been out of the water for 8 days. I've got some pressure in my ears and it's quite uncomfortable. Doing everything the doc says and just waiting it out at this point!
