Hello all. Doing the new guy thing. Names Ian 41, 19 years married with 3 daughters 21 years military. I've been stationed in Hawaii (Army) for a little under a year, but just in the last two months got into snorkeling and "free diving". I'm not great yet, I can dive down about 15 feet for a few seconds, been watching and reading how to hold my breath longer, relax and expend less energy. I got into on a whim, we were kayaking and my daughter was swimming alongside with some normal goggles saw a cell phone about 10 feet down and I dove in and got it and decided if she could see something like that with goggles we might wanna look into this. $150 ish later(family of 5) at the local WalMart we all had gear and set out to have some fun. I've only been 5 times but it was one of the greatest experience's of my life that I can share with my family, and what better place than Hawaii? My life revolves around my family so all our adventures are together. We love all things outdoors but at the same time very techy I have a few gopros and love doing videos and pictures. I look forward to learning and hopefully one day contributing back to this community.
