Hey all....
Just a quick note to say hi...
Diving for the past 6 yrs...rescue diver certified. Mostly travel diving although do some local diving too...
Wanted to join to post some pics I have of some stuff I have fabricated/altered/machined.
Amateur machinist and accomplished hotrod builder / vintage motorcycle restorer...
All for now....hope to gather lots of info from the site.

Cheers,

Welcome!

I think you sound like the right guy to pour lead weight for the Ontario Freedive community!

There are some great moulds available locally, but no one to pour them... Until now! ;)

Please post your pics... Always interested in trick solutions / custom fab!

Hi all,

Just wanted to share a modification that I made to my GoPro...not the HD, but the sports 170*....
I use the camera regularly while diving...but really wanted a red filter for color correction.
At the time, there was nothing offered, so....I used an old underwater red filter (screw on type) that I had and machined a small bracket from aluminum to attach to the factory mount/arm pieces...
Very simple fab...and works great! The filter can even be moved out of the way quickly....

And the most recent item(s)...a couple of underwater shakers/noisemakers...all aluminum..

Hope you like.

Hmm.... I got a couple of those molds from the guy down Burlington-way and have been making freediving weights; the rounded, hydrodynamic ones. I'm in Midland. I didn't know there was a need or a market for them. Need some? Talk to me.
