New Gun

I got my new gun from Poseidonsub (Steve Veros) yesterday. I did a lot of research and chose the Voodoostick. I am stoked , it is perfect. It's 55" natural teak finish with 3 5/8" bands and 5/16" shaft. It is a lot lighter than I expected which is nice. But the pictures don't even do it justice, it is a beautiful gun. Steve is a super nice guy who really knows his stuff. He took the time to teach me how to tie bands for it and showed me some of the other guns he is working on in his shop. I couldn't be happier and I know who I'm getting my next gun from . Check it out...

Congrats on a beautiful gun. What will be your targeted quarry? I am still looking closely at Poseidonsub but am really looking at a mid-level type gun that I can shoot reef fish and, if I'm lucky, the occasional mid-size pelagic. $350 is pretty much a cap for me right now so I'm thinking that his railgun would suit me fine for a first non-garage sale speargun and I"ll decide what I want for more fishies later.

Did you get a close-up look at the railguns? I'll keep you posted on my California trip plans and maybe we can hook up in August.
 
kale that gun is sick. I'll call you sunday about diving. My squid trip got cancelled so I might even get up early.
