My new (first) gun came today. God knows why i brought it the before the rest of the stuff might have to get my surfing wetsuit on at try it out .
But ive got a few questions.
1.Theres now way i can pull the band down to the notches .
2 . How do i rig the spear and line thing.
and the gun is a setec gabbiano for uk spearing

Any help would be greatfull

Gone_surfing 199 never try to load your gun out of water:rcard When you are in the water it will be easier to load.Place the handle of the gun on your chest and hold both rubbers just above the wishbone.Pull back both rubbers at the same time until the wishbone reaches the first notch. The first notch will be OK for all of your hunting needs.

There are plenty of threads in the beginner hunting section about rigging a speargun.

You will need a crimping tool to rig your gun.If you haven't got one maybe some of the other local guy's have one?

Failing all of this if you come to the Dorset Spearo BBQ i will rig it for you.

Good choice of gun by the way.

Yep it was brought from you dave ill give you a ring need to ask a few questions about fins ect.
also i've read up about rigging it with mono instead of nylon cord stuff does it make any difference .

Hi Gone Surfing. I bought a Gab from Dave a while ago now. I recently re-rigged with dyneema (like a stiff string) and it is just the job. Not sure what the big man recons but it works well for me.

Ben
