Apnea.co.uk (in Jersey, Channel Islands) is offering a new spear fishing knife, a new take on the classic spearo daggers, such as the Sporasub/Mares Snake and Imersion's own Mini-Dagger.

It looks cool and practical :) but it strikes me as a bit expensive (not a good feature for a piece of equipment that is so easily lost) at almost twice the price of the old Mini-dagger but it is still significantly cheaper than the rather pricey Snake. I am surprised by the absence of the traditional rope/bone-cutting serrations on one side of the blade, esp. at this price:(.

The image appears to be a computer/CAD generated image rather than a product photograph. Slicker but less informative.

[I'm surprised nobody has yet thought to make a very flat (like the inexpensive Taiwanese Union/Stingray model), very slim (like the Snake or stiletto above) spearo dagger.:hmm]

Nice looking but I have lost so many knives over the years that I just buy cheap ones now.
The last knife I got was a Aquatys Sub 9 which cost €11 from Scubaland.
I think thats enough for a knife that may or may not last a year.
I do like stiletto style knives but the Spora snake is just a little big for handiness or I am not spearing big enough fish anymore.
