Good morning everyone!

I stumbled across this site while doing searches on freediving and training. I am an avid scuba diver and have been curious about freediving for a bit now. It has been described to me as a relaxing calm activity. I thought it just made complete sense to me with how calming and therapeutic the water environment is anyway. So I recently signed up for a freediving course here in Tampa to help get me started. I am pretty excited about branching off into this new "hobby" and am looking to gain as much information on training, safety, freedive locations and new buddies from this site.

Anna

Hi Anna, and welcome to the site. There's a lot of freediving information here, so feel free to look around and ask questions if need be. It would be nice to hear how your class goes.

Thank you Batray. So far there has been great information I've been able to pull from here. I did my first pool session last night, and had a static breathhold of 220 seconds. I'm hoping to see significant improvement from there!

That's not bad at all. Have you found a training buddy?
