new magazine - SPEARING

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I'm always interested in Spearfishing Magazines- I'm sure I'll be getting a sub. Not too bad of a price for 6 mags!

isn't anyone interested??
nah.
Just kidding, tell us about Spearing magazine Chuck.
(Man couldn't you find a less ugly fish to put on your first front cover?:D).

Good luck in your new venture. Spearo mags are non exixtant in the UK as it is a very minority sport/activity. Not sure about any Euro mag's but don't know of any english language ones anyway. Probably some Italian ones as they have a lot more spearo's. We have some SCUBA mag's but they are slightly anti spearo.

Whenever I have been to the States (quite a bit) I always buy a load of mag's on fishing/diving/hunting. American mag's are very different in lay out and structure to English mag's. Not better or worse just different. This is noticable the other way too. Many americans who have seen copies of English mag's I have taken to USA have commented on how different they appear to them.

Well good luck again and maybe you'll post the odd article on DB to keep us Brit's 5000 miles away, happy.

"Freshwater Spearo" - Now THAT would be a Cool magazine! Only because I live in Wisconsin though!!! rofl Here it's only Panfish and rough fish like carp, etc. Although in SOME states you can get certain gamefish. Can you take freshwater gamefish in Florida? Yeah I know...even if you can...WHY!!! :duh

If you'd put some "freshwater" stuff in there once in awhile I'd certainly consider it...A sub I mean.

A fresh water section would just sweeten the mag up a bit you think? I do...A bigger base of people to sell subs to and to promote the sport of breath-hold spearfishing EVERYWHERE. Not to mention alot of other "freshies" just might get a sub then too! :)

I'm really just jealous that I don't get to spear in the ocean!!!! :t

There is a French magazine called Apnea, lots about spearing in Brittany and good gear reviews (if you read french). I normally pick one up when I'm over there. have tried in the past to subscribe, will try again and let you know how I get on
