I've been out of the game for a few years and am looking to get back into it!!! Started freediving abalone on the Sonoma coast (California) in 1980, but really began spearfishing when I was stationed on San Nicolas Island ('94 - '97). I've been too far inland to do much diving until now. I'm in NOrthern California and want to start diving again. Anybody spearing on the north coast? I see that the rod-n-reel set has had some success on WSB in the Monterey/Santa Cruz/Capitola area.

Hi CJ :)
I know nothing about n Cal but there's a good few here that do, The sultan will see you straight (thats Icarus Pacific to us mortals) but fron the rest of us, welcome aboard, its a cool place once you get to know people here.
Be good ;)
Ali

Thanks for the "welcome aboard" Ali. Let's see if I manage to do more than just talk a little - I hope that I actually manage to get in some time in the water!!!
