Hello everyone. Just a bit of an intro.

My name is Alon and im 18yrs old. I live in Sydney, Australia.

I have always been interested in freediving, and dabbled a bit in it (just goggles and shorts... I also read alot about it), but my one love has always been surfing.

Just last month however when there were absolutely no waves (there still rnt) I got off my ass, bought some propper gear and went diving. Now I love it!

I really like trying static, and my personal best is now 2minutes and 15seconds after a few weeks of training! I really would like to try spearfishing, but at the moment I love just going as deep as I can and exploring.

Now I have a propper spearo wetsuit, gloves, boots, weight belt, fins, good quality mask (A bit too much volume compared to propper freediving masks though), and a snorkel.

As for training, I am following the training method outlined in the book "Manual of Freediving" and just going diving as often as I can.

Looking forward to chatting alot to you guys/gals about freediving!

Hi Alon
welcome to DB - there are quite a few Aussies hanging around here, and you'll find everyone very helpful.

Dive safe,

Sara

Hi, good to see another Aussie here!
I'm from Perth, so I might not speak to you tomorrow (depending on how the grand final goes)
