i have been making a bunch of new guns. this is one of the new ones.: overall 61" track is 52" 6 vertical teak strips 2 horizontal, for an 8 piece laminate. stock is 1 5/8" wide 1 15/16" tall. fully enclosed track, poured graphite and cut in place. neptonics tuna trigger mech, neptonics handle frame. ballasted with 2 1/2 lbs of lead for neutral buoyancy,VERY slightly heavy at the tip,(i like that) shoots a 5/16"x65" riffe spear with riffe slip tip. slim front wings, and 4 really tight bands.weighs 16.5lbs fully rigged. low recoil. high power this is a great wahoo gun!

i also adde a bayonet spike in the front, since i use this gun in blue water with a breakaway set up, this way, if i shoot a fish, i still got a sharp tip to poke with, or attachach a powerhead to. i still havent glued a piece of flip flop on the butt yet. i need to it was killing me all day today,(we went for wahoo, with ny-er in my boat)(didnt get any, saw some but couldnt get close enough)

thanks. you know its funny, when i started gunbuilding about 2 years ago. i did it as a way to turn a 24" ab biller into a 50" gun.i really thought i had done something special but i learned two things: i really didnt know anything, BUT i had some skills and needed to keep trying. i really have db to thank, as far as info is concerned. there really is a wealth of info on this site.i really was never aware of things like enclosed tracks, and even mid handles.

Hey man wonderful work not to add on FoxFish his words are enough!!!

Wish one day i will b able to make my bazoka

Very nice work. I've seen some so-called customs that were not as nice. What kind of range do you have on large fish like wahoo? I'm working on a few projects at the moment, and will soon start a new bluewater gun much like this one.

thanks for the compliments.
i have only fired it three times, so i'm not sure about the range. i took it out for wahoo 4 times but couldnt get close enough. so i didnt get to fire it. last time though, i decided to try it out on some chubs,(always plentiful in the blue water here. this gun is so much more powerful than anything i have ever fired! i would say an easy 25ft shot gun on horizontal shots. more on down angle shots. very little recoil though, (i guess cause all the weight)
