Hi all new to this forum,
Names Pete im 17 and have fished with a rod all the time. Now i have found something that i REALLY would like to try and get into.
How would i go about this i have a wetsuit and could get hold of flippers and mask . I would really appreciate some advise and maybe contacts. Live near bovisands so would be an ideal thing to try. Many thanks.

Hi Pete, welcome to DB.

I started diving at 15 and remember well how hard it was to find fellow fanatics. Finding other divers, preferably with some experience, is what you need to do. DB is a great source, try googling for other connections, scuba clubs might get a contact, British Freediving Association is out there somewhere. Once you get your feet (fins) on the ground (water), a freediving course is a great idea and will speed your progress more than you can imagine.

If you can't find a buddy, go anyway (IMHO), just be darn careful. There are a lot of things out there that can bite you, figuratively and literally. That's not the safest way to go, but a lot of us started like that.

Good luck

Connor
