New Norwegian cod record

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I would love some more info - certainly looks like a catch of a life time.
 
I wonder if it came quietly? Imagine being attatched to that!
 
Over 60lb cod, nearly 40lb turbot, over 12lb plaice!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where do I sign up. Holiday Norway here I come.

"Søndag 18.januar fikk Børje en torsk på 28,0 kilo på dagens siste dykk! Han forteller:
Jeg hadde dykket ned ved en palestim og siktet meg inn mot en fin torsk på rundt 10 kilo. Da småpalen rolig trakk seg unna, dukket dette monsteret opp i bakgrunnen av "småtorsken". Den sto i en uheldig posisjon for harpunering, og jeg måtte ligge og vente på bunn til den snudde bredsiden til. Da sendte jeg pilen inn bak gjellelokket og fangsten var sikret! En stor opplevelse som vil bli godt husket.
Fangsten er nå godkjent som ny norsk rekord."

Sunday 18th January Børje got a Cod weighing 28 kilos on the day's last dive! He tells:
I'd dived down by a schoal of small coalie and set my sights on a fine Cod of around 10kg. When the coalie shoal moved off up popped the monster behind the "small cod". It stood in an unfortunate position for spearing and I had to lay and wait on the bottom until it turned broadside. Then I sent the spear in behind the gills and the catch was secured! A great experience that will be well remembered. The catch is now approved as a new Norwegian record.
 
In another news article he says that the fish was taken at 20 metres and the dive time was 2 mins. Dive was by Volda in Møre og Romsdal.
