NEW RECORD, Tom of course...

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Congratulations Tom!

Unbelivable, 2 WR in 11 days!

Bill are there any pictures available?

Simply great! It makes me wonder...
....will he (or WHEN will he) go for 200 DNF?

The photos on Toms website till now are from the 3rd of March when he made the record in Maribor, Slovenia.

There are still no photos from Japan but will be shortly I think.

Congratulations Tom.

250m...?!? Sheesh, I mean, the average person can't even swim that long...And a lot of people would never even consider crossing such a distance to a grocery store without a car :)

My pb is half of that and I'm not considered a completely crappy diver! (ok, pretty crappy, but still...)

Actualy even more amazing is the 221 DNF. I just couldn't belive it the first time I heard about it and then 4min 40sec of swimming... f*** I sometimes have trouble doing statics for so long..

Congratulations Tom! Your a real Champion.

Too bad, that your Homepage doesn't provide us with details as much as we would like it to do. :(

A relative of mine was a swimmer in the 50's and 60's around the same time as Dawn Fraser. By the time she'd retired she'd won 2 Olympic gold, 2 silver and had broken 28 world records, 8 of which she broke in the one day. It's not impossible, you just gotta work harder than the rest of the world!

I'm not inferring anything about Tom by the way... what a fantastic achievement for a hard working athlete, and a nice bloke as well. Congratulations mate.

My idea he will try to break 8:58 hold..
i mean 10+ WR. in this year, Awating from you Tom. :D
