Hi I've just replaced the spear from my gun for the first time and the size of the new spear is 0.5/1mm smaller i.e. i think ive gone and bought a 6mm spear to replace a 7mm/6.5 (not sure what the original is exactly). I'm just wondering if this will effect the performance/ accuracy of the gun and what the costs/ benefits are of having a thinner spear might be??
Cheers
Nick

UNLESS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE NEW THINER SHAFT IT SHOULD NOT EFFECT THE ACCURACY,it has some advantage over the thicker shaft that you will realize faster response in the when hunting which is good, the only disadvantage i could think of is that in rear cases with bigger fish struglling it might break.I still remember a cavaliro speargun I han long time ago with thin shaft and ,hunting with it was so much fun the shaft was very fast in reaching the fish.
