Hi folks,

From the newest Eudi Divex show pictures posted on the I Love Pescasub site, it looks like Sporasub will soon come out with a new 3D camo design for their 2011 wetsuit line.

This new 3d design looks nice. I have the Omer version of the 3D camo suit in 7mm. You can really feel the quality of construction and overall attention to details of the suit. The nylon patches in the ear area of the inner hood are a nice touch to prevent suction . This Sporasub model should be of equal, if not better quality.

I noticed that the seams around the face area of the hood of the Sporasub 3D camo wetsuits are made of some sort of rubber material. In the Omer 3D version, these are made of the same nylon 3D material that's used on the outer of the suit and it can cause some chaffing during the dive. The Sporasub rubber version should be more comfortable.

Does anyone know if the Sporasub wetsuit cut and sizing are identical to that of Omer's?

Cheers,
Claudio

I just came across the more detailed photos of Eudi Divex 2011 expo posted on the Italian Pescasub & Apnea forum. There are more than just one new Sporasub 3d camo pattern. Also, Sporasub is coming out with their version of the MK1 Omer dive watch, that apparently will display surface interval time (the Omer one does not). Check it out:

Very effective even in a brightly lite situation, they really do look great.

Hi Foxfish,

Sporasub has added the 2011 catalog to their site. They are coming out with some cool stuff. The new Baltic Camu look like a great option to break the diver's silhouette in dirtier water. Should work well for the UK waters and for me in Rhode Island too. One of the new camo suits has a mix between smooth and lined exterior... must be extremely comfortable.

Without getting into the debate over whether camo make a difference or not, I would not mind paying a little premium for this attention to details and quality. Their new quick release harness is the first model I've seem that allows you to quickly ditch it in one move.

If my F10 craps out, I will also look into their new SP1 dive watch. The catalog doesn't say weather it allows for data to be downloaded to a computer though.

Cheers,
Claudio

Looking at page 7 of the sporasub 2011 catalog and seeing the shape of the loading plate on the chest on the left side... Now i know spearfishing is a "manly sport for real men", but damn...
