New STATIC WR on pure oxygen

Todays News!

Stig Åvall Severinsen did an AMAZING 20 minutes and 10 seconds static breathhold on pure oxygene. This was done in front of 4 AIDA International judges and Notarius Publicus from the Guinness Book of World Records at the Kattegat Centret in Grenaa, Denmark.

Stig had his first contractions just after 15 minutes but was strong and with this supream strenght and perfect focus he manage to do beautiful 20'10'. He ended the dive with big smile directly after surfacing.

Everything was done without any problems and after 12 minutes of pure oxygene before the dive.

This was the first O2 dive ever passing 20 minutes.

Hehe, that would be a poor april fool joke, but who knows. I agree that the 1st april is not the best date for such deeds

First 'official' pure O2 static past 20min. David Blaine did 20:03 in the Cayman Islands May 2008 with O2/Co2 sat and EKG monitors in front of judges, doctors and video cameras.

It wasn't an official attempt, just training and 1 week later completed 17:04 in front of an audience on Oprah.

Don't know... we will know tomorrow. But if he did it congrats (to be sure). Poor date indeed.
