New to forum- Interested in Spearfishing in San Diego off a Jetski

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.

Hey there, if anyone is in the San Diego area, my buddy and I will be heading off shore on my SeaDoo Fishpro to do a little spearfishing. I'm new to the sport and fishing off my jetski, so this should be interesting. Hope to learn from all of you great people.

It’s done. I know of guys who have been 50 miles offshore for tuna. Be sure to
have waterproof radio and GPS. And some locator beacon that talks to a satellite is desirable. The guys who are serious seem to tow sleds where they can put a big cooler, etc.
