Hey fellow free divers!

I've been scuba diving for a few months and now would also like to get into free diving and, why not, spearfishing. I'm looking for some keen free divers in the area to train with, as I find it more motivating, enjoyable and safer to practice with other people. I live in Burleigh Waters, on the Gold Coast, but wouldn't mind driving a bit to meet up with any interested divers.

Looking forward to hearing from new buddies! ; )

If you're on facebook check out Brisbane Freedivers. Welcome to Deeper Blue from Sawtell (near Coffs) formerly from Tweed and Brisbane!

Hey ReefTroll! I've just sent a request to join Brisbane Freedivers so hopefully this will bring me some exciting opportunities :) Many thanks from the Goldie. Hope the diving conditions in Sawtell are as good as on the GC at the moment ; )

It's been pretty perfect here, amazingly clear flat water. So heavenly, and not a problem, they're a great bunch

Sounds awesome, same thing here. Hopefully it's going to stay like this for a while ;)

Yeah if it was like this year round, weather and water, it'd be heaven. i think it'll be a HOT summer though given how mild our winter was.

Ooooh yeah, that would just a paradise. Imagine, 20m of vis every day of the week, every week of the month, every month of the year. Ahah maybe we're asking too much here ; ) Hot summer for sure, but probably wet as well...Arf, that's not our main concern us divers, though it's of course more enjoyable when it doesn't rain

Yes that would be nice!! I do need a bit warmer water though honestly, no wetsuit, and our fish bugger off in winter it seems!! I'm lucky to get 1 fish, usually I can get a full feed!!

How'd you go with the group last night? It's the thing I miss the most about living up there, the Brisbane Freedivers.

We were so many newbies last night so we just had enough time to do the induction course but it was still pretty good. A really nice bunch of people these freedivers : )

It is a top sport. Very friendly. They're a mad bunch up there. Keep trying to arrange a trip down here for them. Maybe in summer.

Marion you've hit the jackpot living so close to Brisbane. Solid crew those guys and regular training sessions too.
