Hi just saying hello to you all out there, i been thinking of starting spearfishing for a couple years now, and need to start doing rather than thinking. Dont have a clue where to begin though, but living in wellington somerset i can be in some great waters within the hour.
I'm a keen sea angler but want to try fishing under the water as opposed to above.....I also need to start up some sort of exercise programme now i've reached middle age and i cant think of anything better than to get fit fishing......the other bonus is that spearfishing is considered cool by my boy who is also keen do try it with me.
So anyone want to give me some pointers I'd love to hear from you, not sure if you do much spearfishing through the winter, but was planning to use the next 6 months to build up my fitness and buy all the equipment that im likely to need in readiness for next summer.
Are there any clubs etc close to wellington......though exeter is only 30 minutes away......? Can anyone recommend seal size wetsuits and where i can buy them from?
