Welcome mate, if you're ever in Wales give us a call, your welcome to come out with us. My spearing partner is French so you'll be right at home

Your not wrong, my mate (the French guy) has a crepeire (however that is spelt) as part of his business, to die for!

Hi yall,

Wow, i didnt expect such a warm and friendly welcome ! This group seems to be very cool.

Sorry if i'm not replying quickly for it takes time for me to write.
I will be using bad english from time to time, but i promise i will make efforts

Thx Pastor for the invitation, where are you from exactly ?

Spearo_nick, cider is a soft alcohol beverage (such as beer) and its made out of cider apple. It usually goes with salted crepes.

Spaniard : I'm from north brittany, near guingamp or perros guirec or paimpol (small towns)... between Brest and St Brieuc to be less precise. Have you been spearfishing there ?

I have been near Roscoff when I was very new to the sport, many years ago. I also visited many spearfishing shops in Brest and Quimper. I know St Malo a little as my Grandmother lives in Jersey, part of the Channel Islands and there is a regular ferry between the two. J'aime beacoup les huitres......

Reactions: Pastor

Do you go spearfishing in jersey too ?

J'aime beaucoup les huitres mais je préfère les coquilles saint jacques !

Hi Cam welcom to DB I live in the Channel Islands, not so far from you really.

Looks like we'll be drinking cider in Guernsey then?
Well if that is your choice it is not a bad one, we have our own brew called Rockett, 5.5% & very tasty :friday

welcome to db you will enjoy this forum, the people here is really really cool. ciao Matteo.

btw, could someone please give me a link with pictures and names of species you catch in ireland, wales or uk ?
I need to learn the english names of more species to understand conversations, as i only know "bass" and "lobster" for now !

Yes I have been many times in Jersey; this year a group of us have been invited to join our DB spearfishing friends in Guernsey for a spearfishing (and drinking) long-weekend. Vive the scallops...
