It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
The old site got relaunched last week but I'll be damned if I'm posting there,

There was a thread on Spearboard about that site. A guy said that when he tried to log on, he got

You have been banned for the following reason:
No reason was specified.

Date the ban will be lifted: Never

So a couple of us tried it and got the same message. I wasn't aware of doing anything to cause me to get banned, so I assumed that the site got hacked.

I just gave up on that site completely. Not worth the effort. Nor does it look like the problems are going to be solved anytime soon.

Hey Bill, is the Laguna sewage spill causing you any problems with your local kelp beds and hot spots? Or was it small enough to not effect you down there?

I don't really know for sure. Last Wednesday the red tide was so bad that we didn't even get in the water, so it couldn't be much worse now.

I just went out on the bluff near my house, and as near as I could tell it wasn't too bad.

I believe they said that they only closed down about a mile or so of the beach. So none of that filth made its way down to you then. Good to hear.

Thats gotta put a damper on all the guys that dive exclusively at the Laguna spots on a regular basis. Especially being closed down on the weekend.
