I moved house to New Zealand last year - so it was time to upgrade the 70 Tovarich to a 100.

It has the Karayo muzzle from Ramon, and a mares Sten piston with some fresh thin fork oil.

There's about 6m of 2mm Dyneema on it, with a Rob Allen 7mm shaft. I've not put a slider on it yet - I'll see how it goes first - though i'm keen to get feedback on free shaft sliders on the longer guns...

Last but not least is the powerhead, It's got a .44 Magnum hollowpoint round in it, so if the Landlord shows up, he won't be collecting any rent from me.

Something tells me i'm not in Cornwall any more....

yeah we'll see how she goes, the 70 had 8 wraps on it and shot all of that out, so we'll see, I might put a reel on it yet....

I have just finished my 133 with the kit from Marko. And am putting one on my 90 as well. It was such a turd in its stock form but i still killed fish with it. I had to shoot a tad a ahead and time my shots better with it. All It needs the muzzle and its all done, I could use it like it is but have other guns to use. I did a full rebuild and on both. I am changing to a 9/32 shaft on it tho. Am i to expect similar results with my 90cm with a dry barrel kit?

Could you also explain the karayo muzzle to me as well. It's look nice and like is self contained and doesn't need the line slides like the one I have. thank you

How in the world did you drill a Rob Allen Shaft?

Also the RA shaft will rust and damage the O-ring.

Hey Kwtony, I also have a 135 Asso, i will be converting to a tomba and maybe shortening by 10cm if all goes according to plan.
How do you find your gun?

I found my used on craigslist in miami. It wasnt in the best shape but it wasnt bad, it had a broken muzzle and needed a rebuild. Now its a cannon and i love it. I just wish the wind would die down soon here. But from the looks of it, we are going to have a few more days of shitty weather.

I drilled it with a carbide drill bit, and a drill press Gazz, it took a fair while but it came out clean - i've got some pics I took while drilling, holler if you're interested i'll put em up. As for rusting, i've heard tales of that with RA shafts, so i'll keep an eye on it. There's not much choice of spearing equipment over here, so RA shafts were the best I could do, I've got Seatec ones on the 70 and they are awesome after 3 years - no bend no rust....
